English 11:  We will be split in two novel study groups:  The Grapes of Wrath and The Boys in the Boat.  The Boys in the Boat group will meet every Tuesday on Zoom to discuss.  Assignments will also be due on Tuesdays.  The Grapes of Wrath will meet every Thursday on Zoom to discuss.  Assignments will also be due on Thursdays.  Every week I will upload discussion questions/assignments for each group.

Extra Credit Opportunity: All classes may keep a daily journal .  Typed, one page double space.  These will be submitted to turnitin.com.  The first 5 on Friday, March 20.  The following 4 entries on Thursday, March 26.  

Advanced English:
Read to p. 255 in The Power of One.  Submit 2 literary letters (one at a time to receive feedback) and one journas to turnitin.com. Due March 26


English 12:
Finish reading Tuesdays with Morrie.  Check your school email for a link to the resource to complete this unit.  Due March 26

English 11:
Ms. Clark has provided some great tools for ACT review.  Spend some time utilizing those online tools the next few weeks.  Extra credit offered for anyone who contacts her to set up an ED Ready account and completes 3 hours of review.  Additionally, please check your email for a link to an Eva Kor video.  Write a one page (double spaced) reflection focused on her main ideas with a connection to your own life.  Turn it in to turnitin.com.  Due March 26

English 10:
Finish reading Farenheit 451. Write a literary analysis essay in which you state a theme that shows progression throughout the novel.  The essay should include an introduction, three quotes with analysis of the theme development, and a conclusion.  Submit rough drafts to turnitin.com for feedback from me by March 25th at 4pm.  Final copy due by March 26. (Final copies will not be scored without prior rough draft submission.)

English 9: 
Check your email for an attachment containing journal prompts related to Romeo and Juliet.  Submit this work to turnitin.com.  Also finish reading Act V of the play (essentially finish the play).  Then answer questions on page 304.  Submit to turnitin.com.  Both assignments due by March 26
